I welcome you to the Department of Animal, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti. Animal Science Department is one of the pioneer Departments since the establishment of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences. Students are trained to be self-reliant and acquire skills in all fields of study that are related to Animal Science, this is made possible through cordial relationship that exists between staff and students. The Department has produced outstanding students over the years that have gotten prestigious employments in Nigeria and overseas. Animal Science Department has the composition of erudite scholars who have published articles in off shores and on shores journals. Our academic staffs have collaborated in inter-disciplinary research and consultancy studies with cognate departments and Faculties within and outside the university community.  

 The Department runs Postgraduate programme in Master, Postgraduate Diploma, M.phil./Ph.D in Animal breeding and Genetic, Reproduction and Physiology, Agricultural Biochemistry and Nutrition, Animal Production and Managements, Animal Products and Processing.
